Welcome to
Welcome to St. Peter's CE Primary Academy. We are one of a number of brand new schools to have opened in September 2018. We began life in our custom built facility with three teachers, three teaching assistants and three classrooms. The vision and experience of our small staff made the mammoth undertaking of opening a new school extremely positive. Indeed, we have already grown to 14 classes and pupil numbers are closing in on the final capacity of the building: 420. For prospective parents, our pupil outcomes and OFSTED report are well worth a read. We are proud of them all. The best indicator of our success, however, is the happy and settled children who are already engaging well with the broad and challenging curriculum at St. Peter's.

Year 5 blasted off on an exciting trip to Winchester Science Centre this week as a launch into next week's science topic of Space. They explored the stars in a planetarium show and got hands on in a Space Explorer workshop. Thank you @winchestersciencecentre for an amazing day!
Our wonderful Year 6 children celebrating finishing their SATs today with ice cream and an afternoon spent playing games together! We are so proud of all their hard work this week - bring on the rest of the summer term
We marked VE Day 80 with a service in the playground, led by our E-Bluey service children. We raised the VE Day flag with pride as we remembered and honoured the sacrifices made 80 years ago #veday80
This morning, children from Year 4 and 5 took part in an orienteering competition in the beautiful sunny weather! They had to use a map to race around different courses, ensuring that they hit certain check points along the way. Ms Brady and Mrs Crudgington went with them and were very pleased to spend a morning in the sunshine!
Year 2 had a very exciting trip this week: they went to Sarum Academy to see what a secondary school is like. They had a tour around the school and got to take part in a science lesson where they had to extract DNA from strawberries. The trip was all about our school value of aspiration - helping Folly and Nunton see the amazing opportunities their future holds!
Our school was buzzing with stories last week as we celebrated World Book Day in style. From exciting author visits to unveiling our masked readers, our love for books shone through throughout the day. A huge well done to every class for their amazing door decorations and congratulations to Folly and Cholderton for their winning designs. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
Year 5 and 6 stepped back in time yesterday at Hampton Court Palace, walking in the footsteps of Henry VIII and his court. From exploring grand halls to becoming Tudor explorers, our young historians had an unforgettable day bringing their learning to life #hamptoncourtpalace #futurehistorians
The sound of the day for Marshwood and Little Durnford on Friday was 'NEEENAWWW" Our topic this term is "Heroes (People who help us), our focus last week was emergency services. We had a fantastic time getting to explore an ambulance. Thank you so much for the adults that gave up their time.
Another day, another sports triumph for St Peter's! Our Year 5/6 girls' team got through to the county finals back in September and they finally got to play in them yesterday. Amazingly, they made it to the semi-finals where they were sadly beaten by the team who ended up going on to win the tournament. We are so proud of all their hard work, effort and resilience throughout but especially their teamwork. They truly did work at it with all their heart
